Daniel J. Balser

Danny graduated Magna Cum Laude with his Bachelor of Arts in the Spanish language from Utah Valley University in 2019 and Juris Doctorate from the Indiana University Maurer School of Law in 2022.

Danny’s passion for the law and helping clients started years ago at Fillmore Spencer when he began working as a paralegal for the firm. After seeing first-hand how our attorneys assisted clients to resolve problems they were facing during the most difficult times of their lives, he knew that becoming a lawyer was not only inevitable, but necessary for him to help his community in the most meaningful way he knew how. In addition to his years working with personal injury and immigration clients at Fillmore Spencer, Danny volunteered with the Inmate Legal Assistance Project while in law school, interned with the Marion County Public Defender’s Agency in Indianapolis, and also clerked for a large plaintiff firm in downtown Indianapolis.

Danny returned to Fillmore Spencer as a clerk in October 2021, until joining as an associate after graduation and upon receiving admission to the Utah State Bar in 2022. His practice ranges from personal injury and worker’s compensation matters, to civil litigation, criminal defense, and family law issues. Danny is a fluent Spanish-speaker and enjoys serving a broader range of his community as a result of his bilingual skill.

When not working, Danny loves spending time with his wife and two daughters, attending concerts, fishing, and going on trips using roads less-traveled.
