How is child support calculated in Utah?

Utah uses an income shares model to calculate child support. This model considers both parents’ incomes, the number of children, and the custody arrangement to determine an appropriate amount of support. Child support guidelines and worksheets are provided by the Utah Office of Recovery Services.
