Fillmore Spencer Associate Mark Dodd will be introducing the basics of a Worker’s Compensation claim and intake and he will be joined by President of the Central Utah Bar Association, Kara H. North, who will provide a summary of 2021 Rule changes.
Mark began in general practice and gained experience in many areas of the law, spending most of his time in courtroom litigation. He then worked with different tribal and state government entities in Kansas where he served as general counsel for the Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation, executive director of the Kansas State Gaming Agency and executive director of Native American Affairs in the Kansas Governor’s Office. Although he gained great experience in government, Mark missed representing individuals and helping people directly, so he returned to private practice.
Mark chooses to work with clients who have been injured through no fault of their own. He chose to join Fillmore Spencer because the firm focuses on helping individuals. Mark feels the most satisfying part of his practice is helping people who have been hurt and are being taken advantage of by insurance companies, businesses, and irresponsible individuals. He focuses his representation on clients seriously injured in personal injury and workers’ compensation cases in Utah as well as employment issues.
