Bill Fillmore practiced first in Denver, Colorado with the regional law firm of Holland & Hart, and later in Logan, Utah with Olson & Hoggan. He stepped out of private practice in 1986 to serve as Associate General Counsel for Brigham Young University. In 1991, he opened the Utah County Office for the Salt Lake City law firm of Van Cott, Bagley, Cornwall & McCarthy (1991-1994) serving as managing attorney for three years before forming his own firm in 1994. He has served as Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Provo-Orem Chamber of Commerce, as a member of the BYU Alumni Association Board of Trustees, and as a member of the Provo School District Foundation for Excellence Board. He was a co-founder of the annual Summit Conferences for the Utah Information Technologies Association, a Board Member of the Academy Square Foundation, and recently served for two years as the National President of the BYU Cougar Club. He currently serves as legal counsel for America’s Freedom Festival at Provo, as Chairman of the Board of Trustees for Timpanogos Regional Hospital, and as a member of Provo City Council.

Specialties: Bill engages in a general corporate and business practice, and handles a variety of purchase, sale and merger matters, debt and equity financing transactions, technology licensing and commercial real estate matters.

Richard Sheffield counsels clients on a broad range of business, real estate, estate planning, finance and transaction matters. He returned to Utah from Phoenix, Arizona, after 20 years of experience at one of the largest law firms in the West. He has extensive experience and know-how in general and specialized issues faced by new and established businesses.

A founding partner of the firm, Richard seeks to build confidence and trust with his clients and help them realize their objectives and purposes. He has served in various capacities in the community, including roles with the Boards of the Provo School District, the BYU Alumni Association, The Arizona Forum, the Timpanogos Legal Center, and the J. Reuben Clark Law Society.

Richard enjoys helping clients grow their businesses and investments, and craft lasting legacies through thoughtful estate planning.
